6K Full-Frame Cinema in a Compact Mirrorless Design
The Canon EOS C80 6K Full-Frame Cinema Camera combines the powerful 6K30 full-frame capture capabilities of the EOS C400's CMOS sensor with the lightweight body of the EOS C70. Designed for fast-paced shooting and solo use, it features triple native ISOs (800, 3200, and 12,800 in log/raw), enhanced Dual Pixel CMOS AF II autofocus, and simultaneous 12G-SDI and HDMI output. Its RF mount supports Canon RF lenses, and the motorized ND filter wheel allows quick exposure adjustments.

6K Full-Frame Sensor
At the heart of the C80 is a 6K full-frame CMOS sensor that offers exceptionally low noise, enhanced sensitivity, and superior 4K imagery via 6K oversampling, thanks to advanced light capture technology in the back-illuminated, stacked CMOS sensor.

Multiple Recording Formats
The C80 supports full-frame 6K30 in Canon Cinema RAW Light LT, cropped S35 4K30 in RAW ST, and 4K60 in RAW LT. You can also shoot oversampled 4K 120p or 2K 180p, with 4:2:2 10-bit color. Capture slow-motion at UHD 4K120 in HEVC and AVC codecs. Simplify editing with XF-AVC S and XF-HEVC S codecs that feature streamlined file naming and metadata within an MP4 format.

RF Lens Mount
The C80's RF mount is compatible with Canon's fast, reliable RF-mount lenses, offering advanced coatings and image stabilization. The short flange distance also helps reduce the overall camera body size for a more compact design.

Optional PL-RF Adapter
A PL-RF lens adapter opens up access to a wide variety of ARRI PL-mount cine lenses, featuring Cooke/i metadata compatibility and locking plates for secure mounting.

Dual-Pixel CMOS Autofocus
Enhanced Dual Pixel CMOS AF technology uses nearly 100% of the sensor's pixels for both focus detection and image information. The back-illuminated sensor improves light capture, expanding the autofocus area. The EOS C80 also features EOS iTR AF X, utilizing deep-learning algorithms to detect and track human subjects.

Compact Design with Tilting LCD
The lightweight, compact C80 includes an ergonomic grip, joystick control, and a multi-accessory hot shoe. The tilting LCD has reinforced hinges and built-in controls like focus peaking and waveforms. It comes with a detachable handle and mic holder for added convenience.

Built-In ND Filters
Designed for the short flange distance of the RF mount, the C80's motorized ND filter system allows quick selection of up to 10 stops of neutral density, easily adjustable via controls on the camera's side.

Multiple Interfaces, Including 12G-SDI
The C80 features full-size HDMI and 12G-SDI BNC outputs, which can be used simultaneously for monitoring or video transmission. It also includes a USB-C port for UVC video output or connecting to a smartphone or Canon GP-E2 GPS receiver. A BNC connector enables timecode input/output, facilitating multicamera synchronization.

Mini-XLR Audio Inputs
The C80 includes two mini-XLR inputs with phantom power and manual control, supporting 4-channel audio recording through mini-XLR ports, an internal stereo mic, and a 3.5mm mic input.

Log2/3 and 3D LUT Support
For post-production flexibility, the C80 supports Canon Log 2 and Log 3 gamma modes, providing a wide dynamic range with excellent tonal reproduction. It also supports 3D LUTs, ensuring accurate color representation on both the LCD and external monitors.

Dual SD Card Slots and Recording Options
The C80 offers dual SD card slots for simultaneous, relay, or proxy video recording. It can also capture JPEG stills.

Ethernet and Wi-Fi Control
The camera is equipped with an Ethernet port and built-in Wi-Fi, enabling remote control via Canon’s RC-IP1000 or RC-IP100 units. It is also compatible with the Canon Multicamera Control app for iPhone, allowing control over various functions such as focus, iris, zoom, ND filters, ISO, and white balance.

BP-AN Series Battery
The EOS C80 is powered by the included BP-A30N battery, with options to use a BP-A60N battery or a 24 VDC adapter. Older BP-A batteries are compatible but will not power the Multi-Accessory hot shoe. You can also use a third-party cage to add a V-mount or Gold mount battery plate for extended power options.
